Meeting at Red Sea Ports Corporation discusses performance evaluation

In its meeting , headed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Marine Engineer Yasser Muhammad Ahmed, the Board of Directors of the Yemen Red Sea Corporation discussed,Tuesday, the performance evaluation and financial position of the Corporation for the second quarter of the current year 2023 AD.

The meeting reviewed the mechanism for implementing the decisions of the Board of Directors, aspects related to the plans, activities, programs and strategic projects to rehabilitate and modernize the Corporation’s ports within the framework of the Council of Ministers’ approval of the matrix of emergency needs for Hodeida and Saleef ports, including equipment and machinery to improve navigational and commercial services in the two ports.

Engineer Yasser pointed out the importance of government support for the emergency needs of the Corporation’s ports, represented by bridge cranes replacing those destroyed by the aggression and the rest of the needs of marine launches and incubators, so that Hodeida Port can play its role in receiving various ships correctly and soundly.

Aspects related to raising the level of performance were also discussed in order to enhance the role of the institution during the next stage and its transformation to automation in accordance with the requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), affiliated with the United Nations, and taking the necessary measures in that regard. A number of recommendations and decisions were taken related to strengthening work, rationalizing spending, and developing resources.
