Meteorology alerts citizens of extreme heat shocks

The National Center of Meteorology alerts citizens in desert and coastal areas of the hot weather and severe heat shocks during the noon during the next 24 hours

In its warning bulletin r, the center expected that the atmosphere would be partly cloudy, hot and humid in coastal areas, and an awakening to partly cloudy and extremely hot in desert areas.

He stated that the atmosphere will be unstable in the western mountainous heights and the interior regions adjacent to the coasts, especially the western ones, with the possibility of extending eastward to the inner plateaus to include parts of the governorates of Al-Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan, Al-Bayda and Shabwah.

The center stated that this will be accompanied by scattered rain, which may be accompanied by thunder sometimes, during the afternoon and evening periods in separate areas.

Sea turbulence was also expected in the regional waters, east of the Gulf of Aden, around the Socotra archipelago, and parts of the eastern and southern coasts as a result of the continued activity of the monsoons.

The center called on citizens in areas where rain is expected to not be in the streams of torrents and valleys, and advised to take the necessary precautions against rock landslides and the decline in the range of horizontal visibility, especially on roads and mountain turns.

He also warned fishermen, sea goers and ship masters of the strong winds and sea turbulence in the regional waters and the eastern Gulf of Aden and its environs, around the Socotra archipelago and parts of the eastern and southern coasts.

The center indicated that the amount of rain that was recorded during the past 24 hours amounted to (05.0 mm) and in Sarfait 1.6 mm, while in Ibb it reached 1.2 mm, pointing to the scattered rain outside the range of weather monitoring stations in other parts of the mountainous governorates and the interior plateaus. .
