Meteorology: The unrest in eastern Aden Gulf has turned into an depression

The National Meteorological Center expected that the disturbances east of the Gulf of Aden will turn into an air depression and precipitation of varying intensity, and instability will prevail over the western mountain highlands and internal plateaus, within the next 24 hours.

 

The center said in its weather forecast, today, that the eastern disturbances are expected to turn into an air depression within the next 48 hours, according to what was indicated in the Bulletin of the Indian Regional Hurricane Center in the northern Indian Ocean and the Arabian Sea.

 

He pointed out that all data show the formation of dense clouds covering the eastern parts of the Gulf of Aden and extending to parts of the governorates of Mahra and Hadramout, including the Badia (inland regions).

 

The Center stated that these outputs and data also show instability in the atmosphere of the western mountainous highlands and internal plateaus.

He expected rain of varying intensity east of the Socotra Archipelago and on the coasts of the provinces of Mahra, Hadhramaut, and parts of Shabwa Governorate, and extend to the interior parts of those governorates.

 

He also expected separate rain, accompanied by thunderstorms, on parts of the western mountainous highlands, from Lahj in the south to Saada in the north, and extending east to parts of the internal plateaus of the governorates of Al-Dhalea, Lahj, Al-Bayda, Abyan, Shabwa and Hadramout Plateau.

The National Meteorological Center warned citizens not to be in the stomachs of valleys and streams of floods during and after the rains, calling for shelter from thunderstorms and not to use mobile phones during the rains and the occurrence of thunder.

 

He warned motorists on mountain roads of the decrease in the range of horizontal visibility during the rains and the mudslides and mudslides.

He also warned seafarers, fishermen, and ship captains in the territorial waters and around the Socotra Archipelago and the coasts of the provinces of Mahra and Hadramout from sea turbulence and high waves, where he expected a wave height ranging between 2 to 4 meters around Socotra Archipelago and the eastern coasts.
