Minister Al-Durra confirms Yemen’s commitment to maritime navigation’s safety in Red & Arab seas

Minister of Transport,  Abdul Wahab Al-Durrah, confirmed that there is no threat to maritime navigation in the Red Sea from the Yemeni side.

Al-Durra explained, in a media statement, that the slight decline in the number of ships passing through the Red Sea and the Suez Canal is due to the militarization of the Red Sea by America and Britain, and not to any measures taken by Yemen.

Minister of Transport stressed that the Yemeni decision to prevent Israeli ships from passing through the Red Sea has been clear since its announcement last November, and American and British ships were added to this decision after the aggression against Yemen.

Al-Durra stressed Yemen’s right to respond to the ongoing American-British aggression against the country, noting that Yemen adheres to its humanitarian and religious position alongside Gaza by preventing Israeli ships.
