Minister of Transport: America’s warning to ships against crossing the Red Sea aims to create an international trade crisis

The Caretaker Minister of Transport, Abdul Wahab Al-Durrah, confirmed that America’s warning to ships against crossing the Red Sea aims to incite world public opinion against Yemen’s position in support of Gaza.

Minister Al-Durrah explained in a statement that America, Britain and Israel have worked as one team throughout history in practicing terrorism and aggression against peoples and sharing tasks and roles among themselves.

He reaffirmed the safety of maritime navigation for all shipping companies through the Red and Arab Seas, except for ships belonging to the Zionist entity or heading to the ports of occupied Palestine.

He said, “There are no risks from Yemen to international navigation in the Arab and Red Seas,” pointing out that America and Britain claim that their military presence in the Red and Arabian Seas is to protect maritime navigation, while their real goal is to protect Israeli ships and create an international trade crisis.

The caretaker Minister of Transport indicated that America ignores that the attacks in the Red Sea are related to the aggression and siege on our brothers in the Gaza Strip, and as soon as the aggression is stopped and the siege on Gaza is lifted, the targeting of Israeli ships will stop.

He also stressed that Yemen’s position in supporting Gaza is clear and frank from day one, and will not change or be affected by any pressure, whatever it may be, until the aggression is stopped and food and medicine are brought into the Gaza Strip.

He stated that the UN Security Council was unable to issue a ceasefire resolution in Gaza and ignored the genocide to which the residents of the Gaza Strip were subjected, and its interest was limited to protecting the ships of the Zionist entity.

Minister Al-Durra called on all maritime transport companies and ships that are not related to the Zionist entity to continue their activity in the Red Sea, stressing that maritime traffic is 99 percent normal for ships not linked to the Zionist entity, which proves Yemen’s keenness on global maritime traffic.

He reiterated that the Red Sea ports of Hodeidah, Saleef, and Ras Issa receive ships around the clock and provide their services in accordance with the standards of the International Code for the Security and Safety of Ships and Ports.
