Minister of Transport discusses the plans and projects of the Red Sea Ports Corporation and the Land Transport Authority

 

Minister of Transport, Major General Abdul-Wahhab Yahya Al-Durra, discussed with the two chairmen of the Board of Directors of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation, Captain Muhammad Abu Bakr Ishaq, and the General Authority for Regulating Land Transport Affairs, Walid Al-Wadaei, today, Monday 20-6-2022 AD, the plans and projects of the Corporation and the Commission for the current year. The meeting touched on the activities, programs and projects implemented and under implementation .

In the meeting, the Minister of Transport stressed the importance of the role played by the Red Sea Ports Corporation and the Land Transport Regulatory Authority in developing the national economy.

He pointed out that the corporation  and the Authority are among the most important vital sectors because of their direct connection to the lives, requirements and needs of citizens.. Pointing to the importance of development, modernization and finding more creativity and innovation.

Minister Al-Durra urged the leadership of the corporation and the Authority and its affiliates to redouble efforts and find qualitative projects to develop the services provided through them.. He praised the efforts of the Foundation, the Authority and its employees, and their role in promoting and developing services.. He affirmed the Ministry’s readiness to provide support and facilities to achieve the desired goals.

For his part, the President of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation reviewed the strategic projects implemented by the Corporation during the current year, most notably the ongoing work to open the eastern gate of Hodeidah Port in front of heavy and medium trucks, the level of achievement, the difficulties and challenges facing the Corporation in implementing its projects and its importance in facilitating the entry and exit of trucks. loaded with goods.

Captain Ishaq  appreciated the support of the Ministry’s leadership and the continuous interest and cooperation it showed with the corporation .

The meeting was attended by the Director-General of the Office of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation, Nabil Al-Muzjaji.
