Minister of Transport reviews losses in transport sector due to coalition aggression

Minister of transport  Amir Almarani blames the international community ,united nations and human rights council for results of the humanitarian situation and tragedy situation in Yemen because of the aggression and siege which was imposed by collation of aggression since seven year.

Minister Almarani in press conference today mentioned the damages and loses caused by the aggression and siege on transport sector

Clearing that the Yemeni people is exposed continuously to massacre by collation of aggression led by USA ,K.S.A  and UAE .

He referred to the ban of collation of aggression to the oil derivatives ,food ,medicine ,and humanitarian assistance ship to reach  port of Hodeidah and continuing closing Sana’a airport.

The minister Almarani  stressed again the readiness of Sana’a international  airport operationally ,technically and vocationally to receive all the civil trips ..clearing that the main target of the collation of aggression in continuing closing Sana’a international airport is to double the suffering of Yemeni people .

He described the humanitarian situation in Yemen tragedy with the testify of the united nation and the humanitarian organizations  but no one of the international organization do anything for decreasing the suffering of the Yemeni people .

Minister of transport stated that collation of aggression  had targeted  for seven years children ,women ,civilians and destroyed the infrastructure including airports, sea ports and land ,sea and air port . In a blatant challenge to laws and international conventions and the international and humanitarian treaties .

He said ” Yemeni people are threatened with death because of continuing aggression, siege and ban to access medicines “referring that the complete siege on Yemen and pirates acts in sea and air led to increasing the expenses of transport in land ,sea and air .

The minister Almarani revealed about the total damages and loses in transport sectors in sea, land and air direct and indirect from the start of the aggression to march 2021 with seven billions and 657 million dollar .

He mentioned that the estimated damages and loses to the civil aviation and meteorology sector and sectors connected to it reached five billions and 277 million dollar and the damages and loses of the general authority of organizing land transports directly and indirectly  reached 208 million dollar .

The aggression caused damages and social loses  to red sea ports cooperation in the amount of two billion and 160 million dollar and the damages and loses in the branch of maritime affairs  general authority in Hodeidah reached 12 million dollar .

He pointed out that number of death because of closing Sana’a international airport 80 thousand death cases because of ban to travel for medical care abroad and more than 450 thousand medical cases that is severe in critical situation to take medical care abroad .

Minister of transport stressed in the end of the press conference that the ministry and its affiliated institutions works vocationally and technical readiness despite the systematic destruction on infrastructure ,equipment and tolls .

The press conference was attended by the two undersecretary of the ministry for air transport Abdullah Alansi and maritime affairs Khalid Alnamir and consultant of the ministry Mohammad Alsharif.
