Minister of Transport stresses the importance of investing in the various transport sectors

Minister of Transport, Abdul-Wahab Yahya Al-Durra, stressed the importance of encouraging investment and exploiting the opportunities available in the various fields of transport.
Minister Al-Durra considered, in today’s meeting, which included the Chairman of the General Authority for Investment, Yasser Al-Mansour, the Undersecretary of the Promotion Sector in the Authority, Mohammed Hussein, and representatives of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the Secretariat, investing in the field of transportation is one of the main pillars for the advancement of the national economy.
“Strategic projects in the fields of land, sea and air transport will be presented during the next investment forum,” he said, stressing keenness to develop and modernize the transport sectors that were severely damaged by the aggression.
In turn, the Chairman of the General Authority for Investment stressed the importance of investment projects in the transport sectors, explaining that the meeting comes to exchange views and come up with visions that contribute to the success of the investment forum.
He pointed out that during the coming period, more meetings will be held to discuss investment projects available in the transport sectors, to be presented at the forum.
The meeting was attended by Director of the Local Corporation for Land Transport, Mohammed Al-Asri, Head of the Executive Unit of the National Vision for the Transport Sector, Nazir Al-Dubai, and investment and project managers at the Ministry and its Authorities and corporations.
