bdulwahab Al-Durra, Minister of Transport

Minister of Transport, Abdul Wahab Yahya Al-Durra, confirmed that the implementation of the provisions of the humanitarian truce with regard to transport does not reach the required and agreed level, as a result of the aggression coalition’s manipulation of the truce and its provisions for four months.

“The percentage of what was implemented in the air transport sector – during the armistice – amounts to only 70 percent, due to the failure to conduct regular and scheduled commercial and civil flights through Sana’a International Airport to Jordan and the Arab Republic of Egypt, according to the provisions of the armistice.” .Al-Durra said

He explained that the number of flights, which were carried out through Sana’a International Airport, were 22 flights to Jordan’s Queen Alia Airport and one flight to Cairo International Airport, while there were eight trips that were stalled, or were postponed due to the failure of the Cairo flight destination.

He pointed out that the total number of flights that are supposed to be implemented – during the first and second armistice periods – are 32 flights distributed to Jordan and Egypt, according to the provisions of the armistice, which was announced by the UN envoy at the beginning of April of this year.

Minister Al-Durra added: “The only Cairo flight that was carried out did not have any notes or technical problems.” He pointed out that the failure of the Cairo flights came with recommendations by the coalition of aggression to the Egyptian government to stop operating the flights, as most patients go to the Arab Republic of Egypt.

In the field of maritime transport, the Minister of Transport stated that only 60 percent had been implemented, as 36 ships were supposed to enter Hodeida port loaded with oil derivatives, by 18 ships in the first truce, and the same in the second truce in accordance with the terms of the truce.

He attributed the problem of not entering the required number of oil derivatives ships in a smooth and orderly manner into the port of Hodeida, to the maritime piracy practiced by the coalition of aggression by subjecting the ships to detention, despite obtaining UN permits.

With regard to land transport, Minister Al-Durra confirmed that no major roads have been opened to facilitate the crossing of citizens, travelers, buses and transporting goods, which contributes to alleviating their suffering and securing their lives and property, in view of the acts of cut, killing and looting they are exposed to on the secondary roads that are not qualified for the operation of commercial locomotives and buses. passengers and others.
