Over 9,000 passengers arrived through Sana’a airport during the armistice

The number of Yemeni passengers arriving and departing through Sanaa International Airport on civilian commercial flights, during the humanitarian truce sponsored by the United Nations, reached nine thousand and 408 passengers from April 16 until July 20, 2022 AD.

CAMA Chairman, Raed Jabal, said that the Yemeni Airlines Company transported – during civil commercial flights from Sana’a Airport to Jordan’s Queen Alia Airport – 4,674 passengers during the same period, while the number of arrivals to Sana’a Airport reached 4,508 passengers coming from Queen Alia Airport within the humanitarian truce.

He pointed out that only one commercial flight has been carried out via Yemeni Airlines between Sanaa and Cairo airports, since the first of last June, as 78 passengers departed from Sana’a Airport, and 145 passengers arrived on the same flight from Cairo.

He considers the conduct of one flight between Sanaa and Cairo a clear violation, repudiation and procrastination of what was stated in the humanitarian truce, which is about to expire, and the beneficiary of the coalition of aggression is not the Yemeni people.

“Since the announcement of the humanitarian truce, early last April, and its extension for two more months, and to date, only one trip to Cairo has been carried out, as a result of the delay in the official approval of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, according to the office of the UN envoy in Sana’a.”He said
