His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council (SPC) chaired on Monday a meeting of the Supreme Political Council.

The meeting reviewed with SPC members the latest political developments related to the armistice and the existing contacts.

It stressed the need to fully open Sana’a International Airport and Hodeida Port.

The meeting pointed out that the extension of the truce requires a commitment to pay the salaries of all employees and the rest of the services that the aggression cut which negatively double the suffering of the Yemeni people.

It stated that it had initiated the opening of a special account at the Central Bank branch in Hodeida, and the revenues of the port of Hodeida were transferred to it to contribute to the payment of salaries to all state employees, while the other party and the United Nations did not commit to filling the gap for the payment of salaries.

The meeting confirmed that the payment of salaries and pensions is a natural entitlement for all employees and retirees.
