President issues decree to work with Hijri calendar

A decree of the President of the Supreme Political Council No. (74) of 2022 was issued to work in Hijri calendar and its equivalent in the Gregorian calendar.
The decree included six articles.
The first Article (1) stipulated that the Hijri calendar shall be implemented – as an official calendar in the country – as of the date of Muharram 01, 1444 AH.
The decree shall be effective from the date of its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
