Rehabilitation of Caterpillar generators No. 4 and 7 at the Hodeidah Port power station

 

Technicians and engineers of the Electricity Station Department of the General Administration of Technical Affairs at the Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation completed the maintenance and rehabilitation of the Caterpillar No. 4 generator (1.8 kw) and Generator No. 7 (1.2 kw) in the power station.

During the inauguration of work on the generators in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors – CEO of the Red Sea Ports Corporation, Marine Engineer Yasser Muhammad Ahmed, the Director General of the General Administration of Technical Affairs, Engineer Fahd Al-Jaboubi, explained that the rehabilitation of the generators comes within the maintenance plan for the equipment of the power station in Hodeidah Port, which targets all equipment and mechanisms to maintain It ensures its readiness and increases its lifespan
Pointing out that the maintenance work for these equipment and mechanisms is carried out by local cadres affiliated with the administration who are qualified and trained to carry out these works, which were previously carried out by external companies.

Appreciating the interest and support of the organization’s leadership for the maintenance programs implemented by the administration for the organization’s equipment and mechanisms for the current year 1445 AH.

For his part, Engineer Yasser praised the efforts exerted by the engineering and technical teams of the corporation’s cadres in completing all maintenance work… praising the efforts made in completing these works… and stressing the need to make more efforts to raise the level of efficiency of port services.
