Taiz Governor launches the merging with the Land Transport Authority(LTA)

The Governor of Taiz Governorate, Mr. Salim Al-Mughalis, and the committee in charge of the Ministry of Transport launched the merging of the transport office in Taiz Governorate with the branch of the General Authority for Regulating Land Transport Affairs in the governorate.

This came during a meeting of the Governor of Taiz with the committee to approve the merger, which includes the financial and administrative aspects and the delivery of seals and bonds.

The governor of Taiz, Mr. Salim Al-Mughalis, explained that the merger would prevent duplication in the random collection of fees in the field, develop resources, and strengthen coordination between the authority and the local authority in the governorate.

For his part, Director General of the General Authority for Transport Regulatory Affairs Saeed Al-Wajih explained that after the merger decision, collection began in some points and revenues increased by 200% during this short period compared to the first quarter of this year.

Al-Wajih praised the efforts of the local authority leadership represented by the governor of Taiz and his continuous support for the success of the merger of the Taiz office and transport authority, so that Taiz would be the first.

The head of the committee in charge of merger, Khaled Abdul Qawi, also indicated that the transport office and authority had been merged in order to prevent duplication of collection and fees … confirming that new bonds were issued and the previous ones were withdrawn to be enforced, in addition to the stamps.

He emphasized that Taiz was the first in the merger process, as the minutes were signed before the committee in charge of merging came, and the merger process took place in the governorate before others.
