MOHSEN ILYAS  container ship arrived at the port of Hodeidah with 270 containers of Indian rice on board.

The Director General of the Container Terminal at the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation, Captain Shawqi Ali Murshed, explained that the ship “Mohsen Elias” carrying 6,270 tons of Indian rice was received through the port of Djibouti.

He stated that the entry of the commercial container ship, which carries 270 containers, to the port of Hodeidah, under the authority of the Saba International Shipping Company, comes as part of the efforts to restore maritime commercial activity in the ports of Hodeidah.

Captain Murshid confirmed the Ports Corporation’s keenness to overcome the procedures for entering container ships and speeding their unloading, despite the lack of cranes and mechanisms destroyed by the aggression coalition.

He also stressed that the Corporation is working on a large scale to prepare the yards for receiving container ships and mobilize all their crews to expedite the unloading of goods in order to enable them to be transported to the governorates, indicating that the coming period will witness the entry of a number of commercial container ships
