The House of Representatives approves the referral of a draft meteorological law to the relevant parliamentary committee

The House of Representatives, in its session, chaired by Parliament Speaker Yahya Ali Al-Ra’i, from the Minister of Transport, Abdel Wahab Al-Durra, heard the explanatory memorandum of the meteorological draft law.

The Council approved the referral of the draft law with its explanatory note to the relevant committee to study it and submit a report on it to the Council.

In the session, which was attended by the Minister of State for Parliament and Shura Affairs, Dr. Ali Abu Haliqa, the parliament completed its review of the report of the Water and Environment Committee on the results of the evaluation review carried out by the Central Organization for Control and Accountability for the sewage treatment plant in Amanat Al Asimah.

The Council adjourned its discussion of the report to an upcoming session, in the presence of the concerned government side.

In a related context, the People’s Representatives listened to the report of the Financial Affairs Committee on its field visit to follow up on the level of qat sales tax collection in Hodeidah Governorate, and the parliament postponed its discussion of the report to a future session in the presence of the concerned government side.

In addition, the Council reviewed the report of the Trade and Industry Committee on the current situation of the Yemeni Company for Pharmaceutical Industry and Trade (YEDCO), and adjourned its discussion to a future session in the presence of the government side.

The Council had reviewed and approved the minutes of its previous meeting, and will conduct its business sessions on Tuesday, God Almighty.

The session was attended by the Undersecretary of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Raed Jabal, the Assistant Undersecretary for the Meteorology Sector, Eng. Muhammad Hamid, and a number of specialists in the relevant authorities
