The Ministry of Transport directs airports to raise health readiness to prevent the spread of the Corona epidemic

The Ministry of Transport and the General Authority of Civil Aviation directed the international airports in the Republic of Yemen to raise health readiness and take emergency measures and measures in coordination with the Ministry of Health to prevent the entry of the Corona epidemic into the country.

In a statement, the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) received a copy of it, the Ministry and the authority confirmed the necessity of taking the necessary precautions through examining travelers using health screening tools and any other methods for diagnosing the epidemic.

The statement pointed out the importance of finding a quarantine area, providing the necessary devices at entry points to assess travelers’ cases and organizing the transportation of patients with symptoms to hospitals or facilities designated for treatment.

The statement pointed out the need to tighten health measures, especially for those coming from countries in which the outbreak was declared and to define a hospital in every governorate with international airports, so that it is equipped to receive suspected cases.

The statement stressed the importance of committing to circulating guidelines and publications issued by the World Health Organization on preventing the spread of the epidemic.
