The Ministry of Transport gets the first position in the annual financial closure

The Ministry of Transport ranked first in the annual financial closure of 2019 for the PFMP Public Finance Modernization Project.

The Ministry of Finance, represented by the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Finance Dr. Rashid Abu Lahem, thanked the Minister of Transport Zakaria Al-Shami for his distinguished role in the success of the automated work on the AFMIS associated financial system with a number of government agencies within the public finance modernization project.

The Public Finance Modernization Project aims to improve the efficiency and transparency of public financial management by providing decision support systems, enhancing the ability of employees, building the capacity of government institutions to manage public finance, allocating budget resources better in line with strategic priorities and providing more efficient service at the local level
