The national delegation discusses with the European Union ambassadors the humanitarian and political situation

Today, the national delegation headed by Mohamed Abdel Salam discussed with the European Union ambassadors (France, Portugal, the Netherlands, Austria, Finland, Malta, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Sweden, Belgium, Ireland, Denmark, Hungary) via video technology, the efforts related to the humanitarian and political situation in Yemen .

 

The meeting touched on aspects related to the ways to move the peace process in Yemen and the efforts of the UN envoy to find a comprehensive vision of the solution.

 

The meeting also touched on the role of the European Union in supporting the path of the political solution in Yemen, and aspects related to providing facilities related to hosting dialogue and logistical support, rehabilitating Sana’a International Airport and providing some agencies, as well as support on the humanitarian side.

 

The ambassadors stressed the readiness of the European Union to provide logistical and technical services with regard to salary disbursement, economic assistance and mechanisms related to monetary policy.
