The President of the Civil Aviation Authority is honored for his efforts in continuing the work of Sana’a Airport

Director General of Sana’a International Airport, Khalid Al-Shayef, honored today Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Dr. Muhammad Abd al-Rahman Abdel-Qadir, with the airport shield, in appreciation of his efforts to continue the work of the airport and its operational and technical readiness over five years.

 

During the honor, which was attended by the Undersecretary of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology Raed Jabal, the directors of the authority, the director of Taiz International Airport, Nabil Shamsan, and the deputy director of Sana’a Airport, Osan Jarallah Omar, the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology expressed his gratitude for this honor.

 

He stressed the importance of the navigational services provided by Sana’a International Airport locally and internationally in the fields of air transport and civil aviation.

 

He pointed out that Sana’a International Airport was subjected to a systematic and deliberate targeting of its strategic, vital and economic importance … pointing out that the airport is the first facility that the aggression targeted on the night of March 26 with a number of raids to paralyze the international navigation movement.

 

He stressed that with the solidarity of all and the steadfastness of the airport staff, what was destroyed by the aggression was fixed to keep it open in accordance with international requirements and ICAO and ICAO.

 

In turn, the director of Sana’a International Airport praised the role of the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology in preserving Sana’a International Airport and its readiness.

 

He stressed that Sana’a International Airport is working with technical and professional cadres and expertise under the supervision of the authority’s president over the past five years.
