The Prime Minister directs the security services in the ports to confront Corona

The Prime Minister, Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, directed the security services to intensify their efforts to combat people smuggling from the outlets by some weak souls, in implementation of the precautionary measures to confront the Corona virus.

Bin Habtoor said in a meeting held today with the Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Taha Al-Mutawakkil, Water and Environment, Engineer Nabil Al-Wazir, to discuss the progress of implementing precautionary government measures to confront Corona: “The security services should deal firmly and impose the most severe penalties on anyone who seeks to harm the Yemeni citizen with any Some form. ”

For his part, the Minister of Health stressed that work is going on regularly and there is a follow-up to the health situation around the clock despite the limited capabilities .. pointing to the logistical challenges that the health sector is currently facing, in addition to the spread of a number of diseases such as malaria and cholera.
Al-Mutawakkil pointed out that these factors negatively affected the general health situation at the level of the republic .. Pointing to another challenge, he added new difficulties that lie in the number of expatriates who are detained in quarantine and whose number until the moment is 24 thousand people in the outlets.

The Minister Al-Mutawakkil discussed the coordination efforts that exist between the relevant government agencies to provide preventive quarantine places for suspected cases.

In turn, the Minister of Water and Environment affirmed that the Ministry is harnessing its capabilities to implement the plans of the Higher Ministerial Committee to combat epidemics by providing spray cars, necessary materials, water tanks and building bathrooms for citizens subject to preventive quarantine in all outlets.

He pointed out that the Ministry of Water and Environment is constantly working to provide needs around the clock due to the marked increase in the number of arrivals to outlets from outside the country.

The Prime Minister praised the tasks implemented by the two ministries to confront the Corona virus, which is an absolute necessity in light of these successive challenges facing the Yemeni people.

He stressed the importance of integrating action plans among all state agencies to confront this pandemic … stressing the importance of intensifying awareness-raising work to raise community awareness about the Corona virus and the importance of governmental precautionary measures and measures for its protection and safety.
