The Prime Minister, during his visit to the National Anti-Corruption Commission, acknowledges his financial disclosure

Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, during his visit today to the headquarters of the Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption, delivered his sixth approval on financial disclosure in the presence of the Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Muhammad Muhammad al-Ghashm and his deputy, Salim al-Siyani.

After the handover, the Prime Minister met the leadership of the authority in the presence of the Minister of Finance Sharaf Al-Din Al-Kahlani, heads of specialized sectors in the authority and a number of agents of the Ministry of Finance, where the status of the authority and its difficulties were discussed, especially those related to operational expenditures and the necessary technical needs and activities directed at fighting corruption.

The Prime Minister spoke during the meeting, stressing the great importance of this national institution and its great and important mission within the integrity and transparency system in combating corruption and translating the directions of the state leadership in this field.

Pointing out that the regularity of the commission and other official institutions is one of the factors of establishing the state in the capital, Sanaa, and of actions against the aggression and the blockade.

He said, “The other party affiliated with the aggression tried to clone the authority in Aden, but it failed because the elements of work and the requirements to enforce the law are not available and the general conditions in all the occupied governorates do not have to.”

He added, “Here in the capital, Sana’a, the institutional structures are in place and life is proceeding in its natural way, despite the burden of the living conditions caused by the aggression and the siege and its repercussions and hostile decisions against the national economy.”

The Prime Minister expressed his thanks and appreciation to the president and members of the commission for the various efforts and tasks they undertake to strengthen the vital role of the authority and address the issues and challenges facing its vital activity.

He wished to lead the elected body in accordance with the transparent democratic steps stipulated by the law and for all its employees success in their duties and strengthening the national role of this institution in fighting corruption and serving transparency.

The head of the commission, Dr. Muhammad al-Ghashm, had made a speech in which he emphasized the importance of the positive message that the Prime Minister’s visit carried and his sixth declaration of financial disclosure.

He considered it a step that confirms respecting the law and upholding its support for all .. indicating that the commitment of state leaders to the law enhances the positive public feeling and gives reassurance to citizens that everyone is under the rule of law ..

Expressing his thanks for this distinguished behavior of the Prime Minister, who confirms by presenting his approval today his responsible commitment towards this process since the commission started to officially practice its work twelve years ago.

Stressing that submitting the financial disclosure statement is binding on all leaders and officials covered by the law, including treasurers.

The meeting concluded with a number of measures that would reduce the difficulties faced by the authority during this period.
