The “Taiz” pilotage boat is lowered from the marine buoy slide in Hodeidah Port after its maintenance

Sunday 01/21/2024, the General Administration of Technical Affairs, in cooperation with the General Administration of Marine Operations at the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation, completed maintenance work for the “Taiz” pilotage boat at the marine buoy slide in Hodeidah Port.

The Director General of the General Department of Technical Affairs at the Corporation, Engineer Fahd Abdul Karim Al-Jaboubi, explained that the process of lowering the Taiz launch from the marine buoy slide came after the completion of its maintenance work to maintain its readiness and efficiency to carry out marine pilotage work.
Pointing out that comprehensive maintenance work was carried out on the winch by replacing 90% of the hull parts and performing maintenance on the propulsion and steering systems.

He stressed that the maintenance work was carried out by cadres of technical and engineering crews owned by the Corporation and in accordance with the maintenance program for marine installations for the year 1445 AH to maintain their operational readiness and ensure their safety.

Al-Jaboubi appreciated the Corporation’s leadership’s keenness to rehabilitate operational equipment and mechanisms in Hodeidah ports, in a way that contributes to its continued readiness to provide navigational services to various ships.
