Deputy chairman of the Red Sea Ports Corporation inspects the progress of work at Salif Port in Hodeida

 

Deputy chairman of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation, Zaid Ahmed Al-Washli, inspected this morning,  27-7-2022, the workflow at Al-Salif port in Al-Hodeidah Governorate.

Al-Washali, along with the Director of the Maritime Affairs Authority, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Mushki, briefed him on the functional discipline in the departments and sections, as well as the commercial and navigational activities in the port berths.

Deputy chairman of the Corporation and the Director of the Maritime Affairs Authority also visited the power station and a number of facilities affiliated with the port. They listened to an explanation from the port director, Dr. Fouad Hussein Al-Kebsi, and his deputy, Hussein Nasser, about the commercial and navigational movement in the port, the mechanisms for receiving and leaving ships and landing goods, and the most prominent needs of the port’s operational and development process.

Al-Washli stressed the importance of the Salif port in providing relief to the Yemeni people and alleviating their suffering as a result of the aggression and siege.

He stressed the need to improve the services of loading and unloading goods and to provide facilities and integration between the various facilities operating in the port.

He urged the port administration and its employees to sense responsibility, work in a team spirit and make more efforts to develop performance in the technical, professional, administrative and financial aspects.

For their part, the port employees expressed their appreciation for the visit of the Vice President of the Corporation to see the conditions of the port and the progress of work in it, stressing their keenness to carry out the tasks entrusted to them with all responsibility, dedication and sincerity.

He was accompanied during the visit by the General Director of the Projects Departments and Engineering Supervision of the Corporation, Engineer Sami Maqboli, and Marine Operations, Captain Mohammed Al-Says.
