IATA: Corona threatens 25 million jobs in the aviation sector

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has warned that the Corona virus threatens 25 million jobs in the aviation sector around the world, coinciding with the suspension of most flights due to the outbreak of the Corona virus. 

In a statement carried by “Reuters” on Tuesday, the union said that international flights have decreased by about 70% since the beginning of the second quarter, while flights in Europe have decreased by 90%. 

Many countries have tended to close their airports to coincide with closing their borders to prevent the spread of the Corona virus on a larger scale.
