A meeting, chaired by Minister of Transport Amer Al-Marani, discussed the mechanisms and tasks of the economic and environment axes team in the national vision.

The meeting, which was attended by the Head of the Planning Unit in the Executive Office of the National Vision, the head of the economy and environment axes, team members, representatives of the authorities in the economy and environment axes, and the economics and environment expert in the Executive Office, Ahmed Shamakh, reviewed the team’s achievements during the past period, the priorities of critical issues, strategic goals and indicators, and determining their results in a way that contributes to the development and strengthening of the economy. and environment.

At the meeting, the Minister of Transport stressed the need to advance the development process through economic studies and proper planning of projects of paramount importance.

He pointed out the importance of participatory planning in the development and reconstruction processes and evaluating plans and programs to achieve the desired goals.

Minister Al-Marani pointed to the importance of the economic and environment axes, as the economy is a real lever for economic and social development and the development of services, pointing out the importance of focusing on the competitive advantages that Yemen enjoys.

He urged the team members to redouble efforts, stressing the readiness of the Ministry of Transport, its sectors, and its affiliated bodies and institutions, to cooperate with the team in a way that contributes to reviving the national economy and achieving sustainable development.

For his part, the Head of the Planning Unit in the Executive Office of Vision Management, Head of the Economy and Environment axes, Hamdi Al-Sharjabi, pointed out the importance of these meetings to inform the heads of the authorities of what the teams have done, the stages of their work, and what has been achieved in formulating strategic and sub-objectives, and identifying the initiatives, activities and projects that will be included in the general plan of the axis. Economy and environment.

He explained that the economic and environment axes team consists of 48 members representing 31 official bodies and civil society organizations, pointing out that the team’s work stages include training, qualification, planning review, formulation of interim goals, identification of initiatives and final review of the plan.

He pointed out that the team conducts field visits to various ministries and agencies within the economy and environment axis to involve the concerned authorities and their leaders in enriching the participatory planning.. He pointed out that the indicators in the vision were reviewed and reformulated in line with the interim plan, leading to the identification of the targeted results to be implemented during The second stage of the national vision.
