A meeting discusses the progress of the procedures for navigation and commercial activity in the port of Hodeidah

10-12-2023 AD, headed by the Minister of Industry and Trade in the caretaker government, Mohamed Al-Muthar, discussed the head of the Red Sea Ports Corporation, Engineer Yasser Mohamed Ahmed and his deputy Zaid Al-Washli, discussed the mechanisms of enhancing coordination between the ministry and the institution.

 

The meeting, which was attended by the Chairman of the Investment Authority, Yasser Al -Mansour, the directors of the Standards and Metrology Authority branch and quality control, Khalil Al -Joufi, the port of the port, Abdullah Habib, and the Marine Affairs Authority, Dr. Ibrahim Al -Mushki, the Office of Industry and Trade in the governorate, Yahya Atifa, to the mechanisms of enhancing coordination between the ministry and the Red Sea Ports Corporation in aspects related to the service of importers The ways to stimulate navigation and commercial activity, work procedures in the port of Hodeidah, mechanisms for deporting the goods and the level of services provided by the institution and the authorities working in the port to overcome the transactions, the speed of its completion, the service of imported merchants, and the advancement of navigation activity.

The Minister of Industry and Trade stated that the visit comes within the framework of keenness to enhance coordination with the Ports Corporation and its working parties and the relationship of what would address the difficulties left by the aggression and the siege on the ports of the Red Sea.

The Minister of Industry and Trade praised the efforts of workers in all sides in the port of Hodeidah and the extent of keenness to raise work mechanisms and provide simplified services that contribute to stimulating the navigational and commercial port movement.

For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Red Sea Ports Corporation and the deputy of the procedures carried out by the Foundation reviewed the provision of squares and the speed of work rotation, and activating operational competencies and working 24 hours a day throughout the week.

To that, the Minister of Industry and Trade, the head of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation and his deputy and the director of the port customs were briefed on the progress of navigation and commercial work in the port of Hodeidah.

During the visit, Minister Al -Mutahar listened to the head of the Ports Corporation, his deputy and the director of the port customs, to explain about the progress of work in the new container square and the efforts of organizing trucks unloading and transporting goods and checking procedures and appointing them according to the mechanisms followed by the Red Sea Ports Corporation.

They stressed the importance of accelerating the process of inspection procedures, examining goods, and leaving them from the squares in a way that serves the movement of commercial activity and accelerating the transportation of the goods of imported merchants without difficulties or delay.
