Al-Durra calls on businessmen and financiers to invest in the transportation sector

The caretaker Minister of Transport, Abdul Wahab Al-Durra, called on Yemeni and foreign businessmen to invest in strategic projects in various transport sectors.

Minister Al-Durra confirmed in an expanded meeting today that included the Undersecretary for Air Transport, Abdullah Al-Ansi, the Chairman of the General Investment Authority, Yasser Al-Mansour, and the head of the Authority’s Projects Sector, Engineer Muhammad Al-Farza’i, and via the Internet from Hodeidah, the Chairman of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation, Engineer Yasser Ahmed, and his deputy Zaid Al-Washli, that the investment opportunities There are many and promising transport sectors, whether in the field of air, land or sea transport, which will provide many job opportunities for the workforce.

He said, “Investing in the transportation sector has positive returns for investors, and there are projects that need financing, including the Sana’a, Hodeidah, and Taiz international airports, the port piers in the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation, and the strategic project represented by the Manakhah Tunnel and other sites, as well as dry ports and other projects that will bring about a qualitative shift in the sector.” The transportation process in general.
Al-Durra pointed out that plans and studies for transportation projects are ready and at a high level of planning, and require funds to implement them in a way that contributes to the advancement of this economic sector, meeting the needs of the Yemeni people and alleviating their suffering.

In the meeting, which was devoted to reviewing the investment opportunities available in the field of transportation, the Chairman of the Investment Authority explained that there is coordination between the Authority and the chambers of commerce and industry to hold meetings with the private sector and capital to present investment opportunities available in the fields of health, minerals, transportation, energy generation and other fields.
He pointed out the importance of making a list of large projects for the transportation sector to be presented at the next meeting with the chambers of commerce and industry.

While the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport for Maritime Affairs and Ports, Captain Muhammad Ishaq, confirmed that preliminary studies have been prepared for the expansion of the container terminal in Hodeidah Port, berths in Ras Issa Port, and other projects in the field of maritime transport.
