Al-Masawa and Jabal inaugurate the meteorological station at Taiz Airport

The Acting Governor of Taiz, Ahmed Amin Al-Masawa, along with the Undersecretary of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Raed Jabal, opened the meteorological station at Taiz Airport to serve civil aviation and development, with self-financing by the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology.

During the opening, along with the Directors of Taiz Airport, Nabil Shamsan, and the Authority’s Airports Sector, Amin Jamaan, Al-Masawy confirmed that the opening of the monitoring station at Taiz Airport will be followed by a modern electronic station to serve the airport and the residents of the governorate, in addition to climate, weather, weather and agricultural conditions.

He pointed out the importance of the station, which is recognized by specialists in studies and research related to the agricultural aspect and community service.

For his part, Director of the Airports Sector at the Authority, Jamaan, confirmed that the opening of the meteorological station at Taiz Airport comes within the framework of rehabilitating the airport and bringing it into readiness.

He pointed out that the meteorological station is one of the most important services provided by airports and the meteorological sector to serve the country. He considered the opening of the station a first step to rehabilitate Taiz Airport, expressing hope that the new airport building will be opened soon.
