He inspected the progress of the operational process and the efforts to maintain equipment in the port of Hodeidah

the head of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation, Captain Muhammad Abu Bakr Ishaq, inspected the progress of the operational process at the container terminal, marine services and technical management in the port of Hodeidah.

During the visit, Ishaq listened, from the Deputy Director of the Container Terminal, Dr. Ahmed Al-Mortada, to an explanation of the overall work carried out by the General Administration of the terminal to receive all container ships, and to arrange and organize containers unloaded from ships arriving at the yards, or containers transferred to ships.

The head of the Red Sea Ports Corporation also visited the marine pontoon slide and the technical administration in the port of Hodeidah, and was briefed on the progress of maintenance work for the corporation’s equipment, which is carried out by self-efforts and experiences.
During the meeting with leaders and specialists, Captain Muhammad Ishaq explained that the institution’s management is working to mobilize its efforts and capabilities; To enhance and raise the level of performance of service and technical sectors and operational capabilities for the tasks of receiving container ships and commercial goods.

He pointed out that the visit comes within the framework of following up the progress of business and discussing obstacles and problems in order to ensure raising the level of efficiency in implementing and completing tasks, and improving the performance of service and technical facilities in the port of Hodeidah, reiterating the Corporation’s keenness to provide all necessary facilities for docking ships and unloading their shipments.
He praised the efforts of managers, employees and workers in the general departments of the container terminal, industrial safety and security, project management, engineering supervision, services and equipment, and urged them to avoid deficiencies, develop performance, address problems that may arise during unloading and inspection operations, and coordinate with the relevant authorities.

He stressed the importance of doubling efforts to complete the repair and maintenance of equipment and machinery to enhance the port’s role in keeping pace with the activity of receiving and unloading ships.. indicating that the vision of the Ports Corporation is based on a number of paths to develop operational capabilities and infrastructure, repair and provide equipment, according to the available capabilities.

He was accompanied by the directors of the office of the head of the institution, Nabil Al-Mazaji, legal affairs, Mutahar Al-Amdi, services and equipment, Yasser Jamah, marine services, Muhammad Al-Sayes, purchases and stores, Ahmed Salem, chief engineer, Muhannad Al-Nabhi, directors of port security, Muhammad Atef, and the Security and Intelligence Service, Ahmed Al-Husseini, and the deputy director of the office of the head of the institution, Akram Ramadani, and technical affairs, Abdul Wahed Al-Safani, and procurement, Muhammad Al-Safani, and projects and engineering supervision, Hussein Gharama.
