Maqboli and Al-Durra briefed on the work of the Regional Maritime Information Exchange Center

 

Deputy Prime Minister for Services Affairs, Dr. Hussein Makbouli, and Minister of Transport Abdel Wahab Al-Durra reviewed , Wednesday, the progress of work in the Maritime Regional Center for Information Exchange.

Maqboli and Al-Durra listened from the director of the center, Muhammad Hajar, to an explanation of the center’s departments and departments and the technical and technical devices in the fields of maritime navigation applicable in the international centers and the International Maritime Organization (IMO), as well as the technical and professional services it provides in the maritime navigational fields and combating maritime piracy.

Dr. Maqboli praised the level of work provided by the center, stressing the importance of the navigational services and information provided by the center to enhance marine protection in the waters of Yemen and the region from maritime piracy and preserve the marine environment from environmental pollution.

For his part, the Minister of Transport pointed to the need to develop and modernize the center with technical and technical devices in a way that would enable it to enhance maritime security and preserve the routes of ships transiting Yemeni waters and the region in general.

He pointed out the importance of providing technical support to the center in a way that contributes to the development of its work in combating maritime piracy, preserving the marine environment and securing the movement of ships..

He stressed that the center contributes directly to enhancing maritime and regional security and works with complete impartiality to provide its technical and technical services and exchange information at the level of the countries bordering on the Mediterranean. Gulf of Aden, Red Sea and Western Indian Ocean
