And a statement issued by him , Saturday, said: “By a decision of the air authorities, the restrictions imposed on the use of airspace in the over flight zone of southern Russian airports were extended to 03:45 am from the current March 14, Moscow time.”

The statement added that Sochi Airport will continue to operate as a temporary hub with a regular system.

The same press office had previously announced that restrictions on the use of aviation at airports in southern Russia had been extended to 03:45 in the morning from March 8, because the airport grounds were not recognized as safe.

The Russian Federal Aviation Authority announced, a few days ago, that Russia had imposed restrictions on the flights of airlines from 36 countries, in response to a number of European countries banning Russian planes from flying.

It is noteworthy that Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine on February 24, in response to the request of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics in the Donbass region, which requested Russia’s help to end the Ukrainian attacks on them.
