Discussing the plans and projects of the LTAA

A meeting today, in Sana’a, chaired by Deputy Minister of Transport Muhammad Al-Hashemi, discussed the plans and projects of the Land Transport Regulatory Authority within the national vision in its second phase for the current year.
The meeting, in the presence of the Chairman of the Land Transport Regulatory Authority Walid Al-Wadai, the head and members of the main executive unit in the Ministry of Transport and the head and members of the sub-unit in the authority, reviewed the activities, programs and projects implemented and under implementation, and the technical and professional achievements for the development of land transport services.
At the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Transport affirmed that the land transport sector plays a pivotal role in developing the national economy and regulating the life of society by activating laws and regulations regulating land transport affairs at the local and international levels.

He pointed out that land transport is one of the most important transport sectors in general, as it is linked to the life, requirements and needs of citizens.. Pointing to the importance of development, modernization and finding more creativity and innovation in the field of land transport.
The Deputy Minister of Transport urged the authority’s leadership and its affiliates to redouble efforts and find qualitative projects to develop land transport services, stressing the ministry’s readiness to provide support and facilities to achieve the desired goals.
Al-Hashemi stressed the need to pay attention to training and qualification and developing the capabilities of the authority’s cadres and branches in a way that enhances the regulation of land transport affairs.
For his part, the head of the Land Transport Regulatory Authority reviewed the strategic projects implemented by the authority during the current year, most notably the heavy transport truck project in Al Hudaydah Governorate, the level of achievement in it, and the difficulties and challenges facing the authority in implementing its projects.

He touched on studies, investment plans, development activities and programs in the field of land transport, projects included in the national vision, with regard to dry ports, the first phase digital map project in the Capital Municipality, networking and other land transport projects.
In addition, the Deputy Minister of Transport, along with the head of the authority, was briefed on the project of the Public Services and Complaints Department building, which will be inaugurated soon, and the training center equipped with the latest training technologies in the field of land transport.
The specialists listened to a detailed explanation of the project and the modern technical and technological equipment for the public services building and the training center within its plan for the national vision for the year 2021 AD, and its operation within the current year. .
The Deputy Minister of Transport praised the efforts of the authority’s leadership and employees, and their role in promoting and developing the land transport sector.
